Chapter Grant Application NOW OPEN!
Chapters, Frontpage Article, General, News📣 Chapter Grant Application NOW OPEN!
SCB North America Chapters in good standing are able to submit this application for grant funding during the following funding cycles: Fall Funding (Aug – Sept 2026) and Spring Funding (Jan – Feb 2027).
Funding requests can be made in the $250-500 range, with up to $1000 disbursed per funding cycle. Decisions for each funding cycle will be announced around the corresponding Chapters Business Meeting in Fall 2026 & Spring 2027.
Chapters whose funding request has been approved will need to have a representative present at the Chapters Business Meeting in order for funding to be disbursed. If no representative is able to attend, then the Chapter will need to submit a letter to the SCBNA Chapters Representative (chapters@scbnorthamerica.org) with a detailed explanation.

Join us for our Fall Business Meeting on Tuesday, 9/22, from 6-7 PM CDT, to discuss recent updates to our Chapters-related work, including funding opportunities and our Spring Chapters Summit. Note that attendance at the meeting is required should you choose to submit an application for one of our Chapter grants.
If you have any questions about the meeting, please reach out to mail@scbnorthmerica.org. An agenda will be sent out ~48 hrs in advance of our meeting to registered attendees.

Building on our 2025 webinar series “A Conversation on State Wildlife Agencies,” SCBNA’s Policy Issues Working Group collaboratively developed a definition of conservation (approved by the SCBNA Board of Directors on January 22, 2026). The definition is intended to guide actions within SCB North America, the broader Society for Conservation Biology global community, and all those interested in the protection and recovery of nature.

On Tour enters its 21st season of bringing the inspiration of Wild & Scenic films to communities all over the US. Our Film Festival committee reviewed dozens of films and has compiled a curated list of top films that feature amazing conservation and restoration efforts primarily across North America.
