At the Society for Conservation Biology North America (SCBNA), it\u2019s a day made for celebrating our diverse community of conservation students and professionals. For eight years, our members have come together to advance the science and practice of conserving the Earth\u2019s biological diversity and facilitating on-the-ground conservation successes. Last year, more than 650 conservationists attended our biennial North American Congress for Conservation Biology (NACCB) &#8211; representing a total of 14 countries and a variety of government, academic, and non-profit organizations &#8211; and many more took part in projects across our key programmatic areas: Conservation Policy, Student Affairs, DEIJ, Education, Chapters Engagement, and Communications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From now until December 3rd, SCBNA\u2019s first-ever GivingTuesday will be an opportunity to support our members and their efforts to bridge the gap between conservation research and practice. It will be a chance to show support for those who work to empower all voices engaged in conservation. It will be a day to remind our friends and neighbors that there is much wonder in our natural world, and to catalyze that wonder towards equitable solutions for the ecological challenges that we currently face.
